The biconvex silicate glass lens set in an acrylic frame is swung out of the 1.5 mm thick Lefa cover for use (which then serves as a handle). After use, the lens can be swung back in and the cover then reliably protects against scratches and the like if you want to carry the magnifier in your handbag, trouser pocket or jacket pocket. Manufactured by Schweizer Optik in Forchheim, Bavaria.

Case and frame are connected; thus, you may use the case in lieu of a handle. Made by Schweizer Optik in Forchheim, Bavaria.
