From Japan comes this formidable travel and pocket writing instrument. It belongs to that truly rare species of utilitarian object that begs the question of why we didn't think of it ourselves long ago, especially since it represents little more than a variation on the classic pencil extender. A variation, however, that we tip our hats to: Here, a small chrome-plated steel sleeve holds a short ballpoint pen that, when not in use, disappears into a brass case with a clip and brass loop that 1) extends the pen, which is attached to the back, and turns it into a full-fledged writing instrument, 2) protects the pen, and 3) protects clothing from contamination.
The pocket ballpoint pen is equipped with a Japanese refill which, with its 0.5 mm diameter nickel silver tip and a writing width of 0.2 mm, is ideally suited for entries in small-format notebooks or calendars and is correspondingly economical in use. Complementing the pocket ballpoint pen, we offer the matching refill also as a replacement refill.

When in use, the brass surface will develop – thanks to oxidation processes – a patina before long.
