Planter with water reservoir large

General Information
For taller plants
In this format, the planter with reservoir is ideal for taller plants, i.e. for all plants that require a little more soil volume in the pot and therefore also watering water. Thanks to the two-chamber system - consisting of a 12-liter planting bag in combination with a water reservoir of the same size - a needs-based supply of moisture is ensured for several days. And whether indoors or outdoors, on the patio or perhaps near the front door, this planter has a certain visual impact even as a solitary plant thanks to its size. Placed in a row, two, three or more planters create a lively, green room divider that can be used to separate the work area from the living area, for example, if the area is large enough.
The plant is itself. In a planter with reservoir
Do you know this too? As soon as you are away from home for a few days, or everyday life gets really busy, the plants in your home (or on the balcony) start to suffer from neglect. The weekly watering routine fails, the leaves wither, the soil dries out - or perhaps the opposite happens because the friendly neighbors you asked to water were a little generous with the water. With the planters from the Copenhagen-based company Squarely, all these questions, worries and hardships surrounding your plants are a thing of the past. The planters feature an ingenious self-watering system. And this is how the system works: Behind the "façade" of the containers made of upcycled oak wood are containers or inserts made of recycled plastic - two of each. You place your plant(s) in potting soil in the upper of these two containers, while the lower container is filled with irrigation water. The connecting element is a so-called capillary mat, which is inserted into the plant container before planting. Cotton wicks transport the water right up to the root area of the plants - and only just as much as is actually needed. This prevents your plants from being undersupplied with moisture as well as accidentally being oversupplied. Just don't forget to top up the reservoir regularly. (The refilling intervals depend on the type of planting and the location of the container - the water requirement will be less on a north-facing window in the apartment than on a south-facing balcony). To start the self-watering system, it is sufficient to thoroughly moisten the soil in the upper container once. Regarding the oak wood used, it should be noted that the slats are offcuts and leftovers from other productions. Squarely buys the material from local sources and thus contributes to a reduction in waste.
Their versatility is what makes these containers so charming: Whether indoors or outdoors, as a planted decorative element in a room or on a bookshelf, as wall decoration or for greening the balcony railing - there are virtually no limits to the possible uses. We offer Squarely planters in two sizes and two versions: for standing and hanging. Matching transport castors and a stand are available as accessories.
Note:
Due to the high tannic acid content of oak wood, blue-black discoloration can occur on the wood surface in combination with moisture and in contact with ferrous metals. In addition, the so-called tannins can be washed out by rainwater and stain surfaces and adjacent materials.
