Plant pots wood fiber

In commercial horticulture, large quantities of plastic pots and plates pose a serious waste problem. Or it shifts to the responsibility of the customer - who buys a plastic pot with every plant - to take care of proper disposal. (Just look at the waste containers in cemeteries in spring ...) Therefore, the search for alternatives is advisable: for containers made of organic material that are sufficiently stable for the time of cultivation and can be planted out later, as they are rooted by the plant and rot in the soil. The fact that the plant can be placed together with the pot is also advantageous for a second reason: so it does not come to the "plant shock", a growth stagnation due to the change from the pot to the bed.

Growing containers made of wood fiber meet these requirements and decompose in the soil without residue. We get them from the Vosges - the wood used comes from the forests there and accumulates during regular thinning of the growing schooners. From the crushed wood a flowable mass is produced and poured into molds. The subsequent drying process in the oven ensures the sterility of the vessels.
