Plant element for wall mounting white

This clever planting system offers urban gardeners a welcome gain in space by allowing the wall of the house to be used for greenery in confined spaces - as is so often the case on balconies in the city. Perhaps you would also like to use it as a design element in the living room or kitchen, for example, to ensure a supply of fresh herbs? Both would be possible.

The starting point is a wall element similar to the familiar setting box, which is easy to attach to the wall with the help of the enclosed drilling template. Arranged alone or in groups, the elements quickly transform even a drab wall space into a green oasis. The recycled plastic frame holds nine compartments (12 × 12 cm) that are already filled with substrate and can be planted directly. Water can be poured into a recess provided for this purpose; excess water is collected and is still available to the plants later.

Plants with a smaller root ball are best suited. Young plants, perhaps even from your own previous cultivation, can also grow well into the square compartments. Think, for example, of leaf lettuce, arugula and parsley. However, vertically planted greens usually need a little more attention than those placed in pots. Therefore, check regularly whether watering is necessary (on hot days in summer, possibly several times a day) or whether a plant has possibly come loose from the compound once. For more extensive maintenance work such as cleaning out, pruning, etc., the element can also simply be removed from the wall.
