Pinboard oak wood and linen

Undeniably, pinboards are an extremely useful invention. Who has not been in search of an entrance ticket, election notification or bicycle key and therefore understands the functionality of a clear pinboard to appreciate, from which the desired jumps into the eye and memory. The more reliable the pinboard keeps the pecked information - from the tiny hello-you note on the sprints of the current project to the planned travel route on the world map - at eye level.

Constructed with superior craftsmanship from solid, oiled oak wood, the frame holds a solid wood fiber insulation board, on which a somewhat coarser fabric of recycled linen is mounted. Tacks, pins, and pushpins adhere perfectly to this combination of fiberboard and canvas, both of which are typically very sturdy and durable. With an area of 75 × 75 centimeters, the pinboard is also the perfect size to hold anything worth remembering above a desk, hallway console or kitchen table without exceeding the limits of space (and time). This is also contributed by their pleasantly reduced design, which in the tradition of Shaker, Bauhaus & Co. follows entirely the function and therefore does not forget the shelf on which, among other things, notes and pens can be deposited.

Form & Refine is a Danish design label founded in 2018 by Helle Herman Mortensen, Jonas Herman Pedersen and Lasse Lund Lauridsen. It exemplarily follows the Scandinavian design tradition and continues it at the same time. A central point is the harmonious combination of aesthetics, function and material. The designs are clear and restrained, function leads to form and the pure materials, which are allowed to retain their original visual details and forms, are processed with perfect craftsmanship. This is always done in the countries of origin of the materials, which shortens transport distances and at the same time supports the local craft culture.
