Pillowcase structure stripes

General Information
Elegant color combination. With stripes and structure
This bed linen impressed us twice: On the one hand, washed cotton is used here, which makes the linen incredibly soft and skin-friendly. At 250 g/sqm, it has quite a high material weight for bed linen, which is why it is especially comfortable in winter and provides additional warmth. On the other hand, the stripes surprise not only with the successful color combination, but also with their weave. In contrast to the twill weave with its diagonal weave pattern, the stripes are usually woven in other weaves, such as waffle or plain weave. This gives the fabric a structured surface, yet it is pleasantly soft against the skin thanks to the fine cotton yarns used. For the colorful stripes - not a matter of course - dyed yarns are used. In the warp a firm twisted yarn (yarn count 51/2 Nm) is used, in the weft a more voluminous single yarn of Nm 27. The latter gives the fabric a supple surface, thanks to the twill weave it is durable and long-lasting.
Sampedro. Bed linen from Portugal
Sampedro is one of the most prestigious textile manufacturers in Portugal. What started in 1921 with a small linen weaving mill producing sheets and towels, has now become an international player in the home textile sector. As one of the first companies in Portugal, Sampedro also began to produce checked, striped and printed fabrics - a novelty (traditionally, people in Portugal tend to use white linen), which brought Sampedro some fame and also economic success. Today, the product range includes all textiles for hotel and private use, with bed linen still being one of the core competencies. Production takes place entirely at the company's headquarters near Guimarães in northern Portugal, a traditional European textile region. From the initial design to weaving, bleaching, dyeing and printing to finishing and making up, everything takes place there under one roof. Traditional weaving craft and the most modern textile technology intertwine in the processing coordinated and ultimately bring forth textiles of outstanding quality.
