Pillow pine

In this pillow, Swiss stone pine flakes are added to the filling of merino virgin wool - in the form of beads. The stone pine chips are so finely planed that you can not feel them from the outside. The ticking made of fine satin is also fiber-tight woven from cotton and thus impermeable to both the wool fibers and the shavings. You can adjust the filling of the pillow individually, as the wool beads can be removed with the Swiss stone pine shavings.
Merino wool has a high thermal insulation capacity and creates a pleasant dry sleeping climate, as it can absorb a lot of moisture and has a temperature-balancing effect. Therefore, it can be used well throughout the year. The wool also has a kind of self-cleaning effect: due to the residual content of lanolin, the merino fibers are dirt-repellent, and the scales on their surface make the fibers so smooth that hardly anything sticks to them.
The cotton for the ticking comes from controlled organic cultivation (kbA).

The Swiss stone pine (Pinus cembra), also known as Swiss stone pine, is a pine species native to the Alps. It grows still above the tree line, at 1,500 to 2,000 meters, is therefore correspondingly resistant and robust. The wood and needles of the Swiss stone pine contain strong-smelling essential oils and resins. Many find this typical herb-aromatic scent as particularly pleasant as soothing.
