Pendant candle holder spring steel

Gleaming lights in the Christmas tree is in our eyes absolutely one of the traditions that should be upheld - hardly anything underlines the festive nature of the moment as well as the room illuminated by tree candles. While candles were initially attached to the tree with wax or pins, we have been on the safe(er) side since candle holders for the Christmas tree were patented in the 19th century.
An aesthetically and functionally convincing alternative to clamp candle holders are these asymmetrically shaped pendant candle holders. They are simply hung over the branch and hold themselves and their candle in a vertical position by a counterweight alone. Their design has been known since the early years of pewter, lead or solid brass. Popular forms of the weights were nuts, pine cones or, as in this case, balls - simple, yet effectively shiny.

The manufacturer, a third-generation family business in Vienna, manufactures the pendant candle holders on a specially adapted spring bending machine from 1.8 mm thick spring steel. This material provides the necessary strength to make the spiral socket of the candle holder break- and tear-resistant.
The brass balls - the manufacturer obtains them from the neighboring turning shop - are assembled manually on the press: The wire is crimped and then the ball is pressed onto the crimped part of the wire. According to the manufacturer, human muscle power will hardly succeed in detaching the pressed-on ball from the wire again. We offer the pendant candle holders in two versions: with silver-plated or gold-plated surface, each including matching drip-free candles.

Please use only drip-free candles. Please make sure never to let the candles burn down completely in the candle holder.
