Pendant angel with trumpet

Angels are unfathomable beings. They swoop down from the heavens in battle or float gently down, they fearsomely wield the flaming sword or cautiously appear as messengers of God. At Christmas time, it is clearly the joy that reigns: with the Good News that Archangel Gabriel announces to the Virgin Mary, and not least in the night of Jesus' birth, as an angel delivers the joyful news to the shepherds.

With its characteristic light hue, the maple wood from which these angels are crafted in an Erzgebirge workshop, conveys their ethereal appearance, the minimalist design artfully symbolizes their inscrutability, while the reverberating meaning of the Good News is reflected in the trumpet - a symbol of the Annunciation, which shows effect out of the Christmas tree as well as a room decoration.
