Office utensil box cowhide

This sturdy utensil box on fine, vegetable-tanned cowhide convinces on the one hand by the choice of material and the elegant-simple appearance. On the other hand, not only clean-desk devotees will appreciate its dual function. The box keeps the desk tidy because all the writing utensils disappear into it when the work is done. In addition, it also functions as a transport container for the utensils that you need both in the office and in the home office or would like to have with you on (business) trips. The nickel-plated steel frame provides the necessary stability, so that the contents are well protected when on the move.
Thanks to its exceptionally large format of 34 × 9 cm, the box offers plenty of space and, in addition to writing utensils, also holds, for example, a large pair of paper scissors (such as our 10-inch scissors with their extremely long cutting edges), and even a 30-cm ruler fits inside. Three narrow pockets in the lid hold one or two business cards, receipts or notes. Inside, the office utensil box is lined with durable Lefa, a resource-friendly material made from leather scraps and natural latex.

The “Fine leather goods factory” Franz Hammann based in Offenbach (one of the German centres of leather goods manufacturing) is one of the oldest leather manufacturers in Germany. The family-owned company has been producing high-quality leather goods and travel accessories for five generations. The Hessian leather goods are as sophisticated as they are durable; some models require the use of old special machines. Hammann has decades-old experience in leather crafts, especially in producing leather bags and cases complete with frames and handles. Precise workmanship and high-quality materials play an even more significant role here than in leather crafts anyway. To ensure the quality of its leather products, Hammann produces at its headquarters (and has done so since 1864) while processing exclusively full-grain leather of European origin. Locks and fittings are made in Germany. Here too, the details make the difference: all locks and fittings are milled from solid brass and alloy steel and get polished by hand. You might recognize the mirror-bright surfaces featuring a shine that “drum-polished sheet metal parts” could never give off.
