Oberleintuch

It doesn't get more airy than this: the top sheet replaces the comforter on the very warm nights, but it can also be used additionally under the comforter or, as is common in the southern climes of Europe, together with a light, warming blanket for the cool summer nights. Our top sheet is woven from pure linen in plain weave, so the cooling effect of linen comes into play here as well. Because it can conduct heat excellently and absorb a lot of moisture (about 35% of its own weight) without feeling damp. Since it also quickly dissipates the moisture again, linen is perceived as pleasantly cooling - perfect for the hot summer nights and restful sleep.

And by the way, a top sheet made of natural linen brings other advantages that predestine it as a light comforter. The linen yarns used, made from the best long-fiber flax, are very fine (with a yarn count of Nm 26), resulting in a dense, even weave. The fabric is nevertheless durable, has a soft handle and feels pleasant on the skin thanks to the smooth surface. The good skin tolerance is additionally due to the absence of chemical additives.
Due to the smooth, dirt-repellent surface of its fibers, linen is easy to clean and withstands frequent washing. We recommend spinning the cloth only briefly after washing (or preferably not spinning at all) and ironing it while still damp; this will prolong its life and prevent further shrinkage. The shrinkage after the first wash is taken into account in the cut. Woven and made up the Oberleintuch in the traditional weaving mill Vieböck in the Upper Austrian Mühlviertel.
