Nativity set felt

General Information
Christmas finger exercises. Mobile nativity play
Christmas without a nativity play is rather an exception. Unsurprisingly, the scenic presentation is a wonderfully vivid way to "show" the Christmas story to children. Made of pure new wool, this felted nativity set is not only attractively designed, but can also be used to great effect to put on a little play about the eventful birth of Christ: The figures - Mary and Joseph, the Magi and the angel - can be put over the finger and brought to life as little finger puppets.
And if the child in his enthusiasm also grandma and grandpa, aunts and uncles, cousins and generally all friends (show) playfully want to participate in the adventurous story, so the set can be packed up quickly and taken along: At the front, held by push buttons, the crib house can be opened for a look inside the scenes and, after the figures have been stowed inside, can be closed again for transport to new settings. For this functionality we can vouch - but the completeness of the transport (Where is the donkey? Who has the sheep?) We leave to parents, friends and relatives.
A Fair Collaboration. Gry & Sif
During her backpacking tour through Nepal, the Dane Gry Staunstrup got to know the astonishing openness and warmth of the country’s inhabitants, and their craftsmanship bedazzled her. She was able to observe in detail how adeptly and skilfully Nepalese women felted wool into a wide variety of objects. Staunstrup felt it was time to make something good out of the untapped potential, and an idea was born: to combine Nepalese handicrafts with Danish design. And the idea was immediately followed by action.
The company Gry & Sif started producing a variety of products made of wool felt in Nepal in 2000. The designs created by Gry Staunstrup are as remarkable as they are understated and, characteristic of Danish design, at the same time fresh and merry. Nepalese women turn them into products employing traditional handicrafts. Fair Trade certified by now, Gry & Sif stands for fair wages and working conditions, environmentally conscious production and transparency. The company exclusively sources pure new wool from New Zealand sheep for the felting; each of the resulting products is handmade and unique.
