Mitheis bread box pear wood

This bread bin was developed by the German industrial designer Tassilo von Grolman and the firm of Mitheis in exceptional technical, functional and design quality. With a cabinet maker’s mechanics, when the cutting board retracts the blind rolls up automatically. It goes on. The cutting board has an integrated storage space for a 33 cm long bread knife. Underneath the cutting board is a crumb drawer which can also be removed separately. The bin is made from pearwood, painted on the outside, while the painstakingly polished innards are untreated. The handles are made of matt finished chromed steel.

Although you will have to spend relatively more for articles made by the upper Austrian woodworking shop of Mitheis, we know of no other firm that takes such care in the selection of material, construction and design of wood articles for the kitchen.
