Mini whip enamel

A "Weitling" is a bowl or dish whose circumference widens noticeably towards the top. Rather rare here, the term is common in Austria for both small and large kitchen bowls of this type. This double-enameled example with a flanged rim and easy-to-grip handles comes from the enamel specialist Riess in Ybbsitz - where else would it come from? We think of the Mini-Weitling as having a variety of kitchen tasks: It takes prepared ingredients just as well as it can serve as a small beating bowl for one or two eggs, if you want to prepare an omelet or scrambled eggs. At the table, the small bowl cuts an excellent figure as a dessert, ice cream or salad bowl, and not only that, because you can serve crackers, dips, olives or tapas in it just as well.
