Microplane truffle grater

Fresh truffles cuts or planes this tool from the house Microplane razor fine - perfect for pasta and risotto, meat and fish dishes. The blades are etched from the material in the usual razor-sharp quality and not simply punched. Hence the precision: no loss of flavor in the grated material is to be expected, even after years of use. These graters are razor sharp. Their many small blades are not simply punched out of the material, but precisely photo-etched. That's why the blades are so sharp - and stay that way, because they hardly wear out even when the graters are used frequently. Citrus peel, for example, is cut, not crushed, and retains its taste, aroma and vitamins. Chocolate and hard cheese can be sliced into fine flakes, while potatoes and vegetables retain their texture.

The graters are made by Microplane in the USA (although the individual parts are assembled in China). Stainless steel is used for all metal parts. The neatly crafted wooden handle inserts are made of walnut wood from Kentucky.
