The owl in the logo of the Danish label Knowledge Cotton Apparel stands for wisdom and knowledge. Two elements that can be applied to the company's history and the brand's philosophy. Back in 1969, Jørgen Mørup and his father founded a small textile company in Herning, Denmark, which was already focused on sustainability at the time.

To design fashion differently (and better), to conserve resources instead of exploiting them, and to create designs that make lasting additions to the wardrobe - that was the plan of Martin Höfeler and Anton Jurina, the founders of the Cologne-based label Armedangels. Or to put it in CEO Höfeler's words, "I really just wanted to prove that it's possible to build a company that's profit-driven while pushing good."

The work of the Lanius fashion brand takes place in the field of tension between three factors: firstly, fashionable design with sophisticated cuts and shapes, secondly, the use of certified raw materials, and thirdly, the guarantee of fair working conditions. Depending on the garment, the focus is sometimes more on one factor, sometimes on the other - always keeping in mind the overriding demand for quality in terms of materials and workmanship. Behind the brand, which was founded in 1999, is Claudia Lanius, who develops all the ideas and designs in her Cologne studio, which are then implemented by her team and made up by producers in several countries.
