General Information
Clear profile, sharp contour.
To shave sharp contours with razors in the usual size is almost impossible. This razor plane is made specifically for this purpose: the inherently narrow and therefore very maneuverable razor head has two cutting edges of different widths (6 mm and 16 mm), so that (mustache) beard, sideburns and eyebrows can be shaved and corrected contour sharp. This works best in conjunction with a shaving oil, as it does not block the view of the beard hair.
Conceived in the 1950s, the contour and eyebrow shaver Merkur has reissued it - which is certainly also due to the current renaissance of beards and hairstyles from that time. Needed are trapezoidal blades, a blade is included, replacements can also be found in our range.

They are much easier and safer to operate than open razors but sharper and, factoring in blade costs, more economical than multi-blade razors.

Shaving head with two cutting edges: one has a width of 6 mm, the other one has a width of 6 mm. With the highly manoeuvrable safety razor, giving whiskers or beard, sideburns and eyebrows sharp contours is easily done. Brass handle, lid and comb made of die-cast zinc; all surfaces are chrome-plated. A blade is included. Cutting edges 6 mm and 16 mm in width. Length 7.5 cm. Weight 20 g. Made in Germany.
