Mens Loafer Suede Leather

Loafers are timeless shoe classics. The first models were virtually moccasins with a firm sole, later the heel was added. In the 1940s and 1950s, loafers became the preferred footwear of students at American East Coast universities, but their popularity continues to this day - and rightly so, because loafers go with a wide variety of styles and outfits. Astorflex makes this loafer from soft suede leather, which emphasizes its sporty character. Like the leather of the lining and insole, it is vegetable tanned. The insole is padded and removable, and can be replaced with your own insoles if needed. In combination with the crepe sole made of natural rubber, it provides good shock absorption and allows comfortable walking and standing even for many hours.

The beginnings of Astorflex date back to the 19th century. After the First World War, the descendants of the shoemaking family founded the company "Fratelli Travenzoli" in Castel d'Ario, a small shoemaking town in the province of Mantua (Lombardy). From then on, they specialized in the production of shoes using the "ideal method", in which a visible seam joins the upper to the insole, making the shoes particularly flexible, durable and long-lasting. Today, the fortunes of Astorflex are in the hands of Fabio Travenzoli, who has consistently focused the entire production on sustainability. This is evidenced not least by the use of ecological materials. First-class Italian leather is used for the upper shoe, especially from master tanneries in Tuscany. The lining and insoles are made of soft calf leather, vegetable-tanned in a decoction of oak bark and mimosa. The outsoles are made primarily of natural rubber, and only water-based adhesives are used. At Astorflex, one has just completely dedicated to the "good shoe", as already promised by the addition "La scarpa buona" in the logo of the shoe manufactory.
