Mens lace up boot suede

A chukka boot as it is in the book: in ankle-high form made of suede, with high-set lacing, two pairs of holes and crepe sole. It goes very well with jeans and chinos, but also looks good with a suit. The name "Chukka" comes from the sport of polo. There, the boot was worn by the players in the breaks between the game sections (the "chukkas") to relax the feet after the effort. Today, it's hard to imagine an everyday wardrobe without this comfortable classic.
This chukka boot from Astorflex is made from natural materials from the shaft to the sole. Vegetable tanned cowhide is used as the upper material. The lining and sole are made of vegetable-tanned, supple calf leather, and the particularly shock-absorbing crepe sole is made of natural rubber. A quality feature of Astorflex is the so-called "ideal seam" along the edge of the sole, which makes the shoe flexible and durable.

The beginnings of Astorflex date back to the 19th century. After the First World War, the descendants of the shoemaking family founded the company "Fratelli Travenzoli" in Castel d'Ario, a small shoemaking town in the province of Mantua (Lombardy). From then on, they specialized in the production of shoes using the "ideal method", in which a visible seam joins the upper to the insole, making the shoes particularly flexible, durable and long-lasting. Today, the fortunes of Astorflex are in the hands of Fabio Travenzoli, who has consistently focused the entire production on sustainability. This is evidenced not least by the use of ecological materials. First-class Italian leather is used for the upper shoe, especially from master tanneries in Tuscany. The lining and insoles are made of soft calf leather, vegetable-tanned in a decoction of oak bark and mimosa. The outsoles are made primarily of natural rubber, and only water-based adhesives are used. At Astorflex, one has just completely dedicated to the "good shoe", as already promised by the addition "La scarpa buona" in the logo of the shoe manufactory.
