Mens Knit Sweater

The knit of this turtleneck sweater consists of about two-thirds virgin wool, added alpaca hair and silk. This unusual combination gives the sweater excellent wearing properties: it is warming, yet not too heavy, soft and comparatively smooth to the touch. Numerous colored sprinkles in the basic tone give it a striking look.

The designs of studio Hansen, a Copenhagen-based three-man operation, combine the robustness of workwear with references to upmarket tailoring. The range includes essential pieces for the daily wardrobe, creatively refined without depriving the garments of functionality and sturdiness. Hansen selects the basic materials carefully and in direct dialogue with the local manufacturing companies while encouraging grown manufacturing traditions and combining them with modern technology. Remarkably, Hansen has the fabrics – a tangible difference – hand-dyed, hand-washed and (partially) creased. Natural variations in the yarns, the colours, and the weave are part of the design and underline the lively character of the garments.
