Men's jacket

This jacket combines the basic cut and design of a classic work jacket with the soft finish of the so-called light jacket without reinforcing stiffeners - whereby the look is also to be understood with regard to the French word "léger". The fabric used is largely made of skin-friendly cotton, while a little elastane ensures a good fit and shape retention. The jacket is unlined and some of the inside seams are neatly piped. Darts at the front and a longitudinal dividing seam at the back give it shape and form. Three patch pockets and an inside pocket hold small items for everyday use. Topstitched piping at the pocket openings reinforces the striking look, as do the waistband and sleeve openings. A little hint: the striking pin with the label's logo is detachable.

Long ago, dockworkers in Genoa wore work clothes made of a strong cotton fabric dyed with indigo. Since Genoa belonged to France at the time, this went by the French name "Bleu de Gênes", which in English-speaking countries became "Blue Jeans". Against the backdrop of this history, the Blue de Gênes label was launched in Kolding, Denmark, in 2010. But Ole Madsen, the mastermind behind it, has long since gone beyond jeans. He manufactures authentic clothing from selected materials, whose timeless design literally endures the years. Production takes place almost exclusively in Europe, with Blue de Gênes working with small, family-run businesses that are each specialists in their field. Thus, the jeans come from northern Italy, some pants from Turkey and the shirts from Portugal.
