The outer fabric, lining and filling of this warm parka are all about recycling. The outer fabric is a so-called Apex Canvas™, which is densely woven, breathable, windproof and water-repellent. Like the quilted lining, it is made from recycled polyamide, while the padded Sugenro® filling is made from recycled polyester. This well-designed piece is also impressive in functional terms: the striking two-way zipper can be closed high up. Above it is a wide wind-repellent flap with concealed magnetic buttons. Well-fitting knitted cuffs in the sleeve openings effectively keep out the wind and cold, and the width of the sleeve openings can also be adjusted using adjustable tabs with Velcro fasteners. An internal elastic cord with cord stoppers at waist height allows the width to be adjusted, while the opening of the hood can also be adjusted using the elastic cord in the drawstring and cord stoppers. A number of pockets provide space for small everyday items: On the outside, there are two large patch flap pockets with concealed magnetic buttons, two slanted slash pockets and two set-in breast pockets with vertical, concealed zippers. Inside, there are also two pockets with vertical, concealed zippers and a patch pocket with flap and Velcro fastener.

The owl in the logo of the Danish label Knowledge Cotton Apparel stands for wisdom and knowledge, two elements that are key to the company's history and brand philosophy. Back in 1969, Jørgen Mørup and his father founded a small textile company in the Danish town of Herning and already started to focus on the subject of sustainability. At the end of the 1980s, the two began making their garments from ecologically produced cotton, becoming Denmark's green pioneers, as it were. The next logical step in 2008 was the foundation of Knowledge Cotton Apparel, this time with son respectively grandson Mads as part of the team, a label that unites the company's heritage with a contemporary, sustainable corporate strategy. Today, Knowledge Cotton Apparel stands for casual, sporty menswear, usually made from GOTS-certified organic cotton or "Happy Sheep Wool". The label also works with recycled PET bottles, which it shreds, melts down and spins into yarn to make a durable, water-repellent fabric for jackets.
