Men's duffle coat

This duffle coat made of weighty virgin wool fabric comes with all the details typical of this iconic garment. The patch tucker doubles the material at the shoulder area, which provides more warmth on the upper body and keeps the wetness away better - also because it means there is no open seam on the shoulder. The hood, also doubled in the front part, protects its wearer in rain, wind and cold. Real horn toggles with cords, whose ends are covered by leather trimmings, are used to close the wind visor. Under the hood there is a metal zipper - not quite original, but functionally a gain - through which the duffle coat closes even tighter. At the neck, two buttons ensure a good fit. The dark blue (next to beige the classic color) duffle coat is unlined, all seams are neatly hemmed. The two spacious pockets are patched.

"Armor" is the Breton word for the sea, and "lux" can only mean the light on the coast. In any case, many of the garments produced by Armor lux still have a maritime character today - sweaters and shirts, dresses, pants, hats, caps and scarves. Founded by a Swiss man in Quimper at the end of the 1930s, the company combines simple, comfortable cuts, classic colors and uncompromising quality in terms of materials and workmanship. Production takes place largely at the company's headquarters in France and to a lesser extent in its own factories in Madagascar, Tunisia and Morocco.
