Even though the name of these pants promises relaxation by the sea, their fabric - typical for Blaumann - refers directly to the working world. More precisely, to the time of US railroad construction, when fabrics with the so-called hickory stripes were the classic workwear fabric. Later, butchers and oil workers also took a liking to the robust cloth. Blaumann uses it in these pants in a rather lightweight version at 6.75 oz, which again pays off in summer use. The chino cut is comfortable: with a high waistband, straight leg and "cinch back strap" for width adjustment. The pants are closed classically by means of a placket and button. Two side pockets, one thigh pocket and two large patch back pockets accommodate small items of daily use.

Künzelsau in Hohenlohe was once a jeans stronghold until a major player in the industry ceased production there. Four friends, Christian Hampel, Guido Wetzels, Peter Bättig and Gerd Walz, have taken up this tradition again. In 2013, they founded the jeans manufacturer Blaumann, with the claim not to chase short-lived trends, but to produce durable goods. What began with pants has since been expanded to include shirts and vests - and denim has been joined by material classics like corduroy.

Compromising on materials, however, is still not an issue at Blaumann. The fabrics - genuine Japan denim and corduroy from a special German weaving mill - stand up to the highest demands. Ingredients such as yarns, buttons and leather labels also come from Germany. The workmanship is also beyond reproach. This is how garments full of character are created, which they develop into very personal companions through daily movement, wear and tear.
