Men's anniversary jeans
General Information
Ten years of Blaumann: the jeans for the anniversary
To mark its tenth anniversary, Blaumann has issued these jeans that once again crown the proven Blaumann quality. It starts with the fabric, a strong and heavy 15-oz raw denim woven exclusively for Blaumann by Kuroki in Japan, one of the top addresses for such fabrics. The copper buttons and rivets are all hammered in by hand - a time-consuming process, as each rivet requires several strokes. The leg is rather straight, which allows the pants to be combined with higher boots. At the turn-up the real selvage, the selvage, is visible in the blue-man colors blue and white. The jeans is closed by means of a button placket. It is equipped with two side pockets with slanting openings, two patch back pockets and a small coin pocket. Wide belt loops also allow the use of more stately belts. And of course, the same applies to the anniversary jeans: the pocket openings are reinforced with rivets in a very classic way to prevent tearing during use. In the case of the back pockets, this is done concealed to protect seating furniture from scratching or damage. This elaborate process, which was introduced in the 1930s, is hardly ever used today because the automatic pocket machines commonly used in the industry are not capable of doing this. And because the pockets are subject to heavy wear in daily use, Blaumann reinforces the lower areas with an additional pocket lining, which in the case of these jeans features an anniversary print.
Raw Denim.
Künzelsau in Hohenlohe was once a jeans stronghold until a major player in the industry ceased production there. Four friends, Christian Hampel, Guido Wetzels, Peter Bättig and Gerd Walz, decided to take up this tradition when they founded Blaumann in 2013. While others chase short-lived trends, their corporate objective is: producing durable goods. All four of them have experience in the industry. In 20 years, they had more than enough time to learn about possible pitfalls and pick up on the key to success. What they aim for is nothing less than producing jeans in Germany the way they were made in the very beginning – while their credo is: Jeans have to fit casually. Ergo, good cutting is essential.
Their denim comes from Japan – it is the best (and most expensive) on the market. They have the solid, heavy-weighted fabric sewn with special felled seams and riveted by hand in stressed areas, thus, making Blaumann jeans almost indestructible. All yarns, buttons and leather labels come from Germany. Only twelve pairs of trousers leave the manufacture every day, each one stamped with a serial number. It goes without saying that trousers made from such raw denim, which has not been pre-washed, by the way, provide a fitting one has to work out first. In return, one can enjoy how they develop into a personal item of clothing by one’s daily movements, wear and tear.
Hint:
Staining of light-coloured clothing, furniture and other objects is possible.
