General Information
Special co-productions often arise from the long-standing partnership with some manufacturers. The triggers for this are quite different. Here, the wonderful reindeer leather gave the impetus for a small series of purses, which we produce in collaboration with the fine carpentry Ulbrich. And because of the common endeavor to use only natural materials as far as possible, the wallets are made of the hard-wearing, supple reindeer leather in all parts except for the side wedges of the coin compartment and the grid. A rarity that you can only get at Manufactum.

Reindeer leather is famous for its lightness and softness coupled with durability. The leather for our wallet comes from an old-established tannery in Piteå, Sweden, ‘Bölebyns Garveri’, which has been making reindeer leather products for well over a hundred years. The only processes it’s subjected to are vegetable tanning and aniline dying. We then give the leather to the Upper Franconian firm of Ulbrich & Co. to make wallets (and key bell) that we are proud to offer here, consisting of separate compartments for paper money and passports etc. and a purse for coins. Apart from the sides, all these have reindeer leather lining too. The wallets need little daily care, but will age well.

Made out of vegetable tanned, aniline dyed reindeer leather (0.8–0.9 mm. thick) with a total of eight card slots, three ID compartments, two bill compartments and a coin pouch.
