A pithy feel distinguishes the waxed cotton cloth from which Ceccarelli makes this hooded jacket. It makes the jacket weatherproof. A wool fleece protects against the cold, on which the cotton torso lining is quilted. The hood peak, collar button placket and cuffs are lined with soft, warming moleskin on the inside. The jacket closes with a two-way metal zipper, which has a wind-resistant panel over it. A drawstring waist gives the jacket figure. Storage space is provided by all kinds of pockets: In the front, two spacious buttoned flap pockets with box pleat are set on, above which are two buttoned welt pockets with flap. On the back is a large full-length rabbit pocket with two zippers, above which is another full-length pocket with a zipper - the latter two are lined on the inside with a viscose fabric. These pockets are ideal for scarf or gloves, the daily newspaper or for a dog leash.

Attention to detail and a no-nonsense attitude regarding quality are the main elements that have made Giuliano Ceccarelli’s designs stand out since the Forli-based fashion designer started the Manifattura Ceccarelli label in 1998. He soon began to specialise in outdoor clothing, hunting wear and sportswear for men and women, made primarily from wool, cotton and functional fabrics. As a result, Ceccarelli has been producing for Filson their European line under licence for almost ten years. Nowadays, Manifattura Ceccarelli’s own collection includes blazers, shorts, trousers and bags.
