General Information
Unusual and really rare are merino skins that are suitable in size and quality for processing into a blanket like this. A furrier based in Dortmund dyes and refines the skins exclusively for us and makes this unusual lambskin blanket by hand. You get the blanket only at Manufactum.
Warm and Heavy. Sheepskin Blanket.
This blanket is made from ten lambskins from Spanish Merino sheep. Merino sheep have a strong, resilient hide, with exceptionally soft wool. Therefore the lambskin can be perfectly processed, giving each blanket a special character. The fleece is shorn to 10 to 12 mm in order to expose the thicker and silkier undercoat of the Spanish Merino sheep. What remains is an extraordinarily soft, supple and warmth generating lambskin. Made in North-Rhine Westphalia.
