Manufactum household yarn

Our pure linen yarns and threads keep together everything in the home, office and garden that needs to be kept together and are the perfect substitute for gift wrapping ribbons made of plastic. Originally this household twine was used as butcher’s twine for sausages. The sausages, which were ready for sale, were hung on hooks in a row, and the butchers could tell what type of sausage each one was by the twine colour: Each type of sausage was attributed a different colour combination.
Our household and kitchen yarns are made in Lower Saxony from pure linen of European origin. The yarn is plyed in a process to create a strong, balanced yarn. The three-ply twisting makes it nearly tearproof and useful for all sorts of things.
