Our garden sideboard is the result of such a collaboration. With this weatherproof equipment you get it only from us.

When designing the sideboard, we paid particular attention to ensuring that it offers sufficient storage space. And it also has a 150 x 50 cm worktop covered with zinc sheet (the base is a solid plywood panel). On the level below, there is another 125 x 38 cm surface available as a shelf, which is also covered with sheet zinc. The six drawers offer an enormous amount of storage space and can hold garden equipment and tools, barbecue accessories or the children's sandpit toys. They can be completely removed and moved to wherever their contents are needed.

This patio furniture is made for us in a Lüneburg furniture workshop from weather-resistant oak wood in a cleated and solid design: The longitudinal frames are secured using metric screw connections with cross-threaded bolts and the cross frames are glued to be waterproof. The shelves are covered with solid sheet zinc - that lasts; in France, for example, sheet zinc has a long tradition as a work surface on kitchen tables. The feet are fitted with plastic glides to keep moisture out from underneath and protect patio tiles.

Note:
Due to the high tannic acid content of oak wood, blue-black discoloration can occur on the wood surface in combination with moisture and in contact with ferrous metals. In addition, the so-called tannins can be washed out by rainwater and stain surfaces and adjacent materials.

Three small and three large drawers made of rugged oak, with a spacious work top and underneath a storage space the same size covered with sheet zinc. The six solid drawers with slot fitted bottoms offer enormous storage space and will accommodate garden implements and tools, or grill accessories and dishes for outside. Or the children’s sandbox toys. The drawers can be removed entirely and serve as transport boxes.
A tip for use:
Oak has a very long service life outdoors but adapts to the climate, the surface changing over time (small cracks and deformations may occur). The color may also change to a typical grey while the sheet zinc will accumulate a matt patina.
