Nature in the candle. Smells good and does good
Bring the scent of nature indoors? These candles can do that: whether spicy forest air with tart Swiss stone pine aroma (mountain air), spicy lavender scent with juniper (leisure time) or rosemary notes (homecoming) or fruity orange and lemon notes with warm cinnamon and vanilla aromas (evening gold). Many find the scents soothingly relaxing or pleasantly invigorating, depending on the aroma. In these candles, the well-composed mixtures of exclusively natural essential plant oils provide the intense fragrance. The candle wax is also made from purely vegetable raw materials (from rapeseed and soy) - so you can breathe deeply, doubly relaxed. And long, because the vegetable wax burns significantly longer than mineral oil-based. Once the scented candle has burned down, you can continue to use the decorative glass for a variety of purposes, because it comes with a lid made of dark-stained oak wood (FSC® certified). Practical in addition: it can serve as a coaster for the burning scented candle and thus protects the base from heat. Half of the smoked glass is made of recycled glass.
Looops has given its scented candles a new look and partly a new name. Who already knows the candles and now wants to repurchase the fireplace whisper, choose the scented candle homecoming, the feel-good time has turned into leisure time.
Capture fragrances. Bringing nature home
In the mountains, they say, the mind is free. It was in the mountains, more precisely in the Salzkammergut on the northern edge of the Alps, that Julia Schliefsteiner and Markus Niederfriniger came up with the idea of their own fragrancekerzen-Manufaktur to capture and preserve the scents of nature and take them home with them. The fire was lit: they founded Looops Kerzenmanuaktur, and the deeper they delved into the world of fragrances and aromas, the more they realized how far-reaching their effects could be and that the findings of aromatherapy could be wonderfully combined with their new craft. So Julia Schliefsteiner went straight on to complete her aromatherapy training and is now very familiar with the gentle extraction of essential oils and their effects.
Nature as inspiration and source
True to their principle "Nature is good the way it is", they add neither artificial nor synthetic substances and use vegetable wax obtained from rapidly renewable plants (soy and rapeseed) - which also has the advantage that these plant-based candles burn longer and produce less soot than mineral oil-based ones. The wicks are made of pure cotton or even wood. Julia Schliefsteiner creates all the fragrances herself in the company's own "kitchen" near Salzburg. The scented candles are also made by hand there - a complex process involving many steps. It begins with the extraction of the valuable, fragrant and highly effective oils from herbs, flowers and fruits. For new creations, the mixtures of essential oils are first left to rest for a while so that the various fragrance components can blend into a single unit. Only then are small test candles poured and the fragrances tested over several days. The creations are usually inspired by the landscape of the Salzkammergut, the herbs on the mountain pasture or the forest shortly after the rain. After all, a hike through the mountains and nature not only clears the mind, but also fills it with new ideas.
Note:
When burning the candle for the first time, please allow it to burn until the entire surface has liquefied. Only then will the fragrance molecules dissolve completely and the fragrance can unfold optimally. This also prevents a funnel and ultimately a tunnel from forming in the wax. To extinguish the flame, simply dip the wick briefly into the wax with a match and put it back in place. This prevents soot from forming and the candle burns well again. The next time you light the candle, make sure that the wick is not too long; it is best to shorten it regularly to 0.5 centimeters. Wax residue on the glass wall can be liquefied by briefly placing the glass in the oven at 60 °C. If you wish to continue using the jar, please remove any wax residue and clean the jar with hot water and washing-up liquid.
