Long weaving sweeper horsehair

The name of this unusual hand brush reveals its original field of application: it was and still is indispensable in weaving mills for removing lint and dust on and between the looms and machines. The soft horsehair trim is gentle on sensitive machine parts, and thanks to its narrow shape and long handle (total length 65 centimetres), the weaving sweeper can also reach hard-to-reach places and remote corners as well as narrow gaps. This makes it ideal for "misuse" in the home - behind cupboards, on high heels, under furniture such as sofas or beds. Made entirely from natural materials, it is also an ideal alternative to the plastic snow sweeper for the car.

The weaving sweeper is handmade in a social enterprise in North Rhine-Westphalia. The horsehair is tightly bundled and pulled in by hand - recognizable by the copper wire that firmly connects the individual bundles to the wooden body. If necessary, you can clean it with lukewarm water or a mild soapy solution, then comb through the horsehair and leave to air dry. Please always store hanging to protect the trim.
