You don't even need a full-grown library to be convinced by the aesthetics and functionality of this handy ladder. When folded out, its sturdy construction of solid, oiled oak wood features three steps that lead you steadily to lofty heights, whether you want to fish the Shakespeare from the top bookshelf, the winter blanket from the depths of the closet, the pickled cucumbers from the pantry shelf or the dishes from the kitchen cupboard. In doing so, the solid rope prevents the ladder or even you from "doing the splits" in the process. The high extended holding rung makes an additional contribution to the stability of the ladder and at the same time helps you to keep your balance even free-handed. When not in use, the library ladder folds down very flat (to a depth of just 11 cm) and can be stored to save space - although it is basically far too attractive to let it disappear into a niche.

Particularly practical: this library ladder comes with a wall hook, also turned from oak, which can be anchored in a wall with sufficient load-bearing capacity. And because it is - completely in the tradition of Scandinavian design - in its solid materiality, clean craftsmanship and straightforward design just a picture of a ladder, it makes a remarkable wall object in any interior, your living room or office included.

Form & Refine is a Danish design label founded in 2018 by Helle Herman Mortensen, Jonas Herman Pedersen and Lasse Lund Lauridsen. It exemplarily follows the Scandinavian design tradition and continues it at the same time. A central point is the harmonious combination of aesthetics, function and material. The designs are clear and restrained, function leads to form and the pure materials, which are allowed to retain their original visual details and forms, are processed with perfect craftsmanship. This is always done in the countries of origin of the materials, which shortens transport distances and at the same time supports the local craft culture.
