Leatherman® Rebar®

The Leatherman® Rebar® comes in the sleek, compact form of the original multitool and brings the most common tools you need on the go. And as you'd expect from Leatherman®, they fold out and lock into place. Some tools are accessible from the outside, so the folded tool functions like a pocket knife. For example, the following can be folded out: a saw, a 420HC serrated knife, a 420HC knife, a file for wood or metal, a large and a small screwdriver, and a Phillips screwdriver. The opened tool holds a combination pliers (needle nose and regular pliers) and a crimping tool. The pliers have been additionally reinforced so that they have a replaceable wire and hard wire cutter. Of course, there is also a stripping blade, a can and bottle opener, an awl with an eye and a ruler. The multi-function tool is equipped with a hanging loop and comes in a leather holster. Made of 420HC stainless steel, it is extremely solid and will not rust.

The idea for a multifunction tool came to American engineer Tim S. Leatherman in 1968 when his car broke down during a trip to Poland. In 1975-1980, he developed such a tool and has been producing it in Portland, Oregon ever since. The successful product called quite a few imitators on the scene, but they are all inferior in quality to the original, which is still produced in the USA.
We have carried the Leatherman® Tools in our range for years. Anyone who owns one of these multitools takes it with them on every trip, every hike and every vacation - we can tell you this from our own experience - and some people even take it with them every day. And although the areas of application of the first Leatherman® tools were versatile, Leatherman® has developed them further and added both smaller and larger models to them, adapting them in an even more differentiated manner to the respective areas of application and users. Therefore, for example, in addition to the classic Wave+, we can also offer the Surge for crafts and repair or the Signal for outdoor enthusiasts.

This multifunctional tool features lockable blades one can open with one hand. In the narrower sense, multifunctional devices with lockable blades are no weapons; therefore, the German Weapons Act does not apply, and they may be sold freely. Nevertheless, we expressly want to bring to your attention the general ban on carrying this form of a knife in public in Germany. When carrying knives and tools with lockable blades outside your home and property, you have to lock the device in a container. See §42a WaffG for further information.
