Laundry and storage chest oak wood

This laundry chest is an unmistakable relative of the Form & Refine chest bench. With its slim upright format, it is suitable for the bathroom, hallway and checkroom as well as the bedroom or dressing room, where it can be used to store laundry, cushions and blankets. In the children's room, it serves as a collection point for soft toys, building blocks etc. and even in the kitchen or living room, it cuts a fine figure as a mini sideboard or bar. Its clear design is reminiscent of the Shaker furniture tradition, which has the advantage that the storage chest blends in with a wide variety of interior styles. Thanks to its compact size, it is also easy to store even where space is limited. The manufacturer produces the chest in the same design as the chest benches made of solid, oiled oak, which you can also find in our range. Its two-part lid is opened using a loop made from vegetable-tanned, undyed leather and snaps into place at the rear end. The storage space is ventilated through openings at the connection between the base and legs as well as at the recess milled to snap the lid into place. Handles on the right and left make transportation easier and also ensure that the interior is ventilated.

Form & Refine is a Danish design label founded in 2018 by Helle Herman Mortensen, Jonas Herman Pedersen and Lasse Lund Lauridsen. It exemplarily follows the Scandinavian design tradition and continues it at the same time. A central point is the harmonious combination of aesthetics, function and material. The designs are clear and restrained, function leads to form and the pure materials, which are allowed to retain their original visual details and forms, are processed with perfect craftsmanship. This is always done in the countries of origin of the materials, which shortens transport distances and at the same time supports the local craft culture.
