Ladies sweater with neck button

Alpaca is one of the most valuable natural fibers. It is immensely light and soft, exhibits a natural sheen and is very durable despite its fineness. In addition, as a hollow fiber, the hair offers superior heat balancing capabilities. This sweater comes in a particularly fine quality. Because Les Racines du Ciel makes it from pure baby alpaca. This is the name given to the hair of young animals from the first shearing, but also to the hair of adult alpacas when its fiber fineness is between 20.1 and 23 microns. The sweater has a slightly grainy feel and is cut wide, which additionally increases the wearing comfort. It is equipped with raglan sleeves, a mother-of-pearl button at the neck and narrow rib knit cuffs at the neck, sleeves and torso.

On the western tip of the Breton peninsula lies the department of Finistère. According to the Roman name, this is the end of the earth. For the Bretons, on the other hand, it is “Penn ar Bed”, the beginning of the world – a reading that does far more justice to the brand “Les Racines du Ciel” (i. e., the roots of heaven). Nathalie Goyette and Christian Tournafol founded the Quimper-based brand. The two have been producing elegant, feminine and timeless women’s fashion since 2005. Besides aiming at high-quality standards, Les Racines du Ciel’s declared entrepreneurial goal is to promote artisanal traditions and products and thus preserve jobs in impoverished rural areas. They choose their production locations correspondingly.
