Ladies' suede sandal

This light and airy leather sandal is not only particularly stylish and elegant, but also extremely comfortable and supple. Astorflex uses vegetable-tanned goatskin suede for the upper material, which is characterized by its outstanding properties: It is robust and hard-wearing, while at the same time supple and pleasantly warm to the touch. Thanks to the wide, crossed straps and adjustable heel strap, the sandals offer a good fit and secure hold every step of the way. The padded insole and lining are made from soft, vegetable-tanned calfskin, which makes them even more comfortable to wear, creates a good foot climate and protects the foot from chafing and blisters. The stitched-through outsole made from robust buffalo leather gives the shoe even more stability and flexibility. For a better grip, it has rubber inserts in the middle and on the heel.

The beginnings of Astorflex date back to the 19th century. After the First World War, the descendants of the shoemaking family founded the company "Fratelli Travenzoli" in Castel d'Ario, a small shoemaking town in the province of Mantua (Lombardy). From then on, they specialized in the production of shoes using the "ideal method", in which a visible seam joins the upper to the insole, making the shoes particularly flexible, durable and long-lasting. Today, the fortunes of Astorflex are in the hands of Fabio Travenzoli, who has consistently focused the entire production on sustainability. This is evidenced not least by the use of ecological materials. First-class Italian leather is used for the upper shoe, especially from master tanneries in Tuscany. The lining and insoles are made of soft calf leather, vegetable-tanned in a decoction of oak bark and mimosa. The outsoles are made primarily of natural rubber, and only water-based adhesives are used. At Astorflex, one has just completely dedicated to the "good shoe", as already promised by the addition "La scarpa buona" in the logo of the shoe manufactory.

The outsole may leave colored marks on the shoe or floor due to abrasion.
