Ladies striped shirt

The look of this shirt is inspired by the classic sailor shirt with its 21 stripes, which was officially introduced by the French Navy in 1859. However, this pattern has long since made its way into "civilian" fashion and in a wide variety of colorways. This striped shirt is made by Armor lux slightly fitted and with rather tight sleeves. The soft jersey is made of skin-friendly cotton, which comes from controlled organic cultivation.

Tellingly, “armor” is the Breton word for sea, and “lux” cannot mean anything else than the magic light at Brittany’s coast. In keeping with their brand’s name, Armor lux design many of their jumpers and shirts, dresses, trousers, hats, caps and scarves in a maritime style. The company, based in Quimper and founded by a Swiss at the end of the 1930s, combines simple, comfortable cuts, classic colours and uncompromising quality of materials and craft. The main production facility is still the company’s headquarter in France while, to a small extent, branches in Madagascar and Tunisia support the production.
