Ladies softshell coat

In winter and in the transitional period, it is an advantage to wear a coat that can withstand the elements. This model from Knowledge Cotton Apparel is warm, windproof, water-repellent and breathable. The outer fabric is made from polyester, around half of which comes from recycled materials, and moisture-regulating viscose. The lining is made from recycled polyamide and the filling is made from recycled polyester. The lining is quilted on the inside so that the warming filling stays in place. The coat can be closed up to the chin with a two-way zipper. There is a buttoned, wind-repellent facing on top. The spacious, lined hood and snug-fitting rib-knit cuffs in the sleeve openings effectively keep out the wind and cold. Two pockets set into the side seam with a vertical, concealed zipper and an inside pocket, also with a vertical, concealed zipper, offer space for small items for everyday use.

Back in 1969, Jørgen Mørup and his father founded a small textile company in the Danish town of Herning and already started to focus on the subject of sustainability. At the end of the 1980s, the two began making their garments from ecologically produced cotton, becoming Denmark's green pioneers, as it were. The next logical step in 2008 was the foundation of Knowledge Cotton Apparel, this time with son respectively grandson Mads as part of the team, a label that unites the company's heritage with a contemporary, sustainable corporate strategy. Today, Knowledge Cotton Apparel stands for casual, sporty menswear, usually made from GOTS-certified organic cotton or "Happy Sheep Wool". The label also works with recycled PET bottles, which it shreds, melts down and spins into yarn to make a durable, water-repellent fabric for jackets.
