Ladies leather mules

This simply designed leather mule looks wonderfully comfortable at first glance. But it's the "inner values" that count here. The strikingly grained, vegetable-tanned cowhide is unlined, so the suede side is on the inside and offers your feet a snug welcome. The padded insole made of soft, vegetable-tanned calfskin ensures a pleasant walking sensation every step of the way. The stitched-through outsole made from robust buffalo leather gives the mule more stability and flexibility. It has rubber inserts in the middle and on the heel for a better grip.

The beginnings of Astorflex date back to the 19th century. After the First World War, the descendants of the shoemaking family founded the company "Fratelli Travenzoli" in Castel d'Ario, a small shoemaking town in the province of Mantua (Lombardy). From then on, they specialized in the production of shoes using the "ideal method", in which a visible seam joins the upper to the insole, making the shoes particularly flexible, durable and long-lasting. Today, the fortunes of Astorflex are in the hands of Fabio Travenzoli, who has consistently focused the entire production on sustainability. This is evidenced not least by the use of ecological materials. First-class Italian leather is used for the upper shoe, especially from master tanneries in Tuscany. The lining and insoles are made of soft calf leather, vegetable-tanned in a decoction of oak bark and mimosa. The outsoles are made primarily of natural rubber, and only water-based adhesives are used. At Astorflex, one has just completely dedicated to the "good shoe", as already promised by the addition "La scarpa buona" in the logo of the shoe manufactory.

The outsole may leave colored marks on the shoe or floor due to abrasion.
