Ladies' leather belt bag

This belt bag is made by O My Bag from wonderfully supple soft grain leather. The strong, vegetable-tanned leather still shows its natural grain, as the surface remains natural and is therefore slightly textured. This also results in the particularly pleasant feel and grip of the cowhide. Typically, with time and use, it will develop its own beautiful leather patina and take on the marks of everyday life such as scratches and the like. The leather edges of the hip belt are quilted and carefully sanded, polished and waxed. It is infinitely adjustable and generously sized so that you can wear the bag on your hip, crossbody or over your shoulder. The inside of the belt bag is lined with the striking blue and white striped twill, in this case made from pure cotton. An integrated zipped compartment and three small slip pockets provide space for small items and cards. The belt bag closes with a zipper, which is additionally reinforced with leather.

Support trade, not aid. Under this motto, Paulien Wesselink founded her label O My Bag to produce bags with respect for the environment and people. The design is created at the company headquarters in Amsterdam, while production takes place in Kolkata, India - a conscious decision to offer local producers and their families fair wages and access to the global market.

The bags from O My Bag are characterized by a clear, functional style that is timelessly contemporary and corresponds to the durability of the material from which they are made: high-quality, vegetable-tanned leather. For Paulien Wesselink, leather is still a sensible option due to its low environmental impact, provided that it is tanned chrome-free and dyed with natural raw materials. GOTS-certified cotton is also used, but the label is also open to innovative materials: since 2021, O My Bag has been making bags and wallets from AppleSkin™, a vegan leather alternative.

Staining of light-coloured clothing, furniture and other objects is possible.
