Ladies knitted polo bouclé

This striking polo shirt is knitted from a supple bouclé yarn, an effect yarn in which the core thread is wrapped by one or more threads, creating small loops or knots. The term bouclé comes from the French and means "curled" or "looped", which describes the look and feel of the yarn very well. The yarn that Lanius uses consists of a high proportion of skin-friendly, organically grown cotton, as well as polyamide, which is largely sourced from recycled stocks. It makes the knitted fabric even more shape-retaining and durable. The buttonless knitted polo shirt has a loose fit with a deep V-neck and rib-knit cuffs on the sleeves and body. The cuffs are slightly gathered, giving this sporty shirt a feminine touch.

The work of fashion label Lanius is influenced by three factors: first, a style characterised by sophisticated designs and forms, secondly the use of certified raw materials and thirdly the guarantee that all garments have been produced under fair working conditions. Depending on the garment, one factor may get centre stage, but the other factors don’t move out of the focus – however, importance is always attached to outstanding quality both in terms of materials and finish. The label was founded in 1999 by Claudia Lanius, who works on all her ideas and designs in her Cologne studio; she has them developed by her team and then assembled by producers in several countries.
