Ladies knit shirt raglan

With its thoughtful knit details, this lightweight (and slightly sheer) shirt is more than the sum of its parts. It starts with the different colored yarns that create a subtle bicolor look in the knit. The ribbed knit cuffs at the neck, sleeves and torso, on the other hand, are plain, creating a mild contrast. The sleeves are designed as raglan sleeves, which increases the wearing comfort. Ribbed knit sections along the side seams create a varied knit pattern. And last but not least, the combination of skin-friendly, certified organic cotton and linen with its cooling properties makes the shirt easy to wear in summer.

On the western tip of the Breton peninsula lies the department of Finistère. According to the Roman name, this is the end of the earth. For the Bretons, on the other hand, it is “Penn ar Bed”, the beginning of the world – a reading that does far more justice to the brand “Les Racines du Ciel” (i. e., the roots of heaven). Nathalie Goyette and Christian Tournafol founded the Quimper-based brand. The two have been producing elegant, feminine and timeless women’s fashion since 2005. Besides aiming at high-quality standards, Les Racines du Ciel’s declared entrepreneurial goal is to promote artisanal traditions and products and thus preserve jobs in impoverished rural areas. They choose their production locations correspondingly.
