Ladies Jeans Flared

This classic has been an integral part of the fashion world since the 1970s, but flared jeans have long since shed their hippy image. Their cut is reminiscent of a funnel: close-fitting at the hips and thighs and flared from the knee. Lanius makes the trousers from a denim with a washed-out look, consisting of organically grown cotton, elastomultiester and elastane, which makes them kind to the skin, stretchy and dimensionally stable. The jeans have a mid-rise waistband, two side pockets and two patch back pockets. They are fastened with a zipper and button.

The work of fashion label Lanius is influenced by three factors: first, a style characterised by sophisticated designs and forms, secondly the use of certified raw materials and thirdly the guarantee that all garments have been produced under fair working conditions. Depending on the garment, one factor may get centre stage, but the other factors don’t move out of the focus – however, importance is always attached to outstanding quality both in terms of materials and finish. The label was founded in 1999 by Claudia Lanius, who works on all her ideas and designs in her Cologne studio; she has them developed by her team and then assembled by producers in several countries.
