Ladies hemp hat

This flapper style hat has a wide brim with elegant wavy fall. At the beginning of its manufacture is a long and narrow hand-braided braid strip, which is sewn on historical machines according to ancient tradition to form the hat crown and brim. Through this construction and through the material - a durable hemp-cotton blend, the hat is crushable and provides good air circulation when worn.

When Leonhard Mayser opened his "Hutmacherey" in Ulm in 1800, he could hardly have imagined that Mayser hats would one day become a global brand, with an annual production of 3.5 million pieces in 1963, a record year (unsurpassed to date). Today, the production figures are far lower, but Mayser can still call itself a global brand with sales markets in 44 countries. The secret to the success of the company based in Lindenberg in the Allgäu, the former "Little Paris" of hat fashion, has remained the same for more than two centuries: Quality. While design, purchasing and sales are still based in the Allgäu, production was relocated to Slovakia in 2002. Mayser built its own factory there and also trains its own staff.
