Ladies' check marlene trousers

The Marlene owes its name to the artist Marlene Dietrich, who revolutionized the fashion world in the 1930s with her elegant, masculine outfits. Here comes the evergreen - as befits Marlene trousers - with a straight-cut, wide leg and crease. The characterful glencheck pattern emphasizes the classic line. The fabric is made from warm, temperature-regulating virgin wool and skin-friendly, organically grown cotton. A small amount of elastane ensures greater elasticity and shape retention. The pants have two side pockets and two blind back pockets and are fastened with a trouser hook, horn button and zipper. The trouser legs are partially lined in pure viscose up to the knee, which is pleasantly smooth and supple against the skin.

The work of fashion label Lanius is influenced by three factors: first, a style characterised by sophisticated designs and forms, secondly the use of certified raw materials and thirdly the guarantee that all garments have been produced under fair working conditions. Depending on the garment, one factor may get centre stage, but the other factors don’t move out of the focus – however, importance is always attached to outstanding quality both in terms of materials and finish. The label was founded in 1999 by Claudia Lanius, who works on all her ideas and designs in her Cologne studio; she has them developed by her team and then assembled by producers in several countries.
