Ladies cardigan half-sleeve striped

This fluffy, soft cardigan is knitted by hand in Ecuador. The voluminous knit, which is slightly transparent at the stripes, is warming, temperature-regulating and pleasantly airy against the skin. Inti makes it from Peruvian baby alpaca and a small amount of polyacrylic and polyamide, which makes the knitted fabric more durable and easier to care for. The uniquely silky baby alpaca has incomparably fine and supple fibers: The fiber fineness is between 20.1 and 23 microns. This means that knitted fabrics made from it are comfortable to wear even for people who are sensitive to wool. What's more, alpaca hair contains hardly any lanolin, which is why it is particularly allergy-friendly. The cardigan is knitted with half-length sleeves and ribbed cuffs on the sleeves and body.

The landscape of South America provides the two founders Anna Cales and Leon van den Broek with the inspiration for their collections – and the native alpaca herds contribute the unique, silky alpaca fibres. On the continent, in Ecuador, Inti produces knitwear and timeless accessories from the fibre the Incas called the “gift of the gods”. Inti processes the fibre mostly in combination with the somewhat firmer wool of merino sheep and has it hand-crafted by knitters in traditional homework, yielding us knitwear in small, rarefied series.
