Ladies balloon cap 1920
General Information
Variably wearable. The balloon cap
At the beginning of the 20th century, balloon caps became popular in Europe and North America, originally among mostly young men of the working class. Soon, however, women also discovered the practical and shapely headgear. Thanks to their voluminous shape, even long hair can disappear underneath if the wearer so desires. Equally, however, any amount of hair - from a curl to a braid - can peek out underneath. Due to an elastic band in the back edge, the cap always fits perfectly. In addition, the balloon cap can also be pulled deep into the face to protect the forehead from the sun or wind. Diefenthal manufactures this balloon cap quite classically with eight segments and button.
