Charvet makes this sturdy kitchen towel complete with its red-blue-red stripe from strong Nm 6 linen yarns. They give the weave a lustrous feel and make it very durable. Thanks to its generous fabric weight, the towel is extremely absorbent and can – when laid double or triple – even replace the potholder. We offer it in two versions: in white, made from bleached linen yarns, and natural, i.e. made from undyed and unbleached yarns.

The Charvet weaving mill’s history started more than 100 years ago in the small town of Armentières, on the border with Flanders. Still based in the middle of one of the traditional flax-growing regions in Europe, Charvet specializes in linen and cotton fabrics production. Their range includes the robust linen fabrics that were once essential textiles for bakeries (toiles de boulangerie) and French workwear (for example, “vareuses” or pea jackets for fishermen), as well as tent tarpaulins and sailcloth fabrics besides kitchen towels.
